Admission to the College

Your future starts here at ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ. We are honored that you are considering the College of Engineering and Polymer Science for your undergraduate education.

Our admissions process

Students interested in studying engineering, engineering technology, computer science, computer information systems, applied mathematics and polymers should apply to ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ (ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ) and select their intended major on their application. All students admitted into ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ and intend to major in any degree program at the College are accepted into the College.

Note: In the absence of ACT/SAT scores, university placement testing will be required to place students into appropriate first-year courses.

For incoming freshman students

If you are coming directly from high school, your high school records and math placement testing will determine which first semester classes are right for you. As part of your new student orientation, ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ will conduct your math placement testing. Starting in the right place in our math and engineering course sequences is essential to your success in our engineering programs.

Incoming students with college credit

  • Students with any type of alternative credits, like Advanced Placement or College Credit Plus, may be eligible for credit that will change their math placement and/or their first Fall schedule.
  • Be sure to send ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ score reports and college transcripts as soon as they are available and mention your alternative credit to your academic advisor during your new student orientation advising appointment. During your new student advising appointment, consult with your advisor about your alternative credit and find out how this affects where you should start in your math courses.

For incoming transfer students

Your initial course placement depends on the classes you have taken. Our Transfer and Adult Student Enrollment Center assists in processing transcripts from your other university.

For international students

The International Center at ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ supports you before and after you arrive and makes you feel at home here.
