Walk-in
- When you visit the walk-in Campus Cupboard in Simmons Hall (Lobby, Room 102C/D), you will be asked to present your Zipcard. Upon your first visit, we'll ask you to create a Cupboard account which collects some basic information so that we can continue to provide this program. A cupboard student assistant will help you create a Cupboard account and accommodations are available.
- Just like any store, you will be given a shopping basket and breifed on the space guidelines.
- Once you’ve collected the needed items, you’ll then inform a cupboard student assistant to check out.
- Unlike a grocery store, we don’t collect any money…we just want to make sure items are recorded and you selected items within the appropriate limits.
Appointments:
- Is this your first time visiting the Cupboard Walk-in? Our new *scheduling* option allows you to schedule a 30 minute, private shopping experience for your first time visiting. Our staff will walk you through the process every step of the way without the wait time! Schedule your first Cupboard Walk-in visit .
- To ensure you have enough time create a cupboard account, shop, and ask questions, please arrive promptly at your scheduled time.
Pick-up
We offer an online ordering and pick up option known as a Zips Care Package for enrolled students.
- Simply to schedule a pick up time and select your items. Upon your first order, you'll be asked to create a Cupboard account using your MyAkron login which collects some basic inforamtion so that we can continue to provide this program.
- We’ll bundle your items and have them ready for pick-up at the Cupboard desk in Simmons Hall, Lobby or Cupboard locker.
- You will receive an order confirmation email and a reminder email regarding your package.
- When you arrive, simply present your Zipcard to confirm your identity for the items and be on your way.
Notes:
- It's the students responsibility to reschedule/cancel their appointment via their Cupboard account or notify the Cupboard staff via email or phone. Zips Care Packages will be held for no more than 24 hours.
- Items selected are not guaranteed but we will fill your request to the best of our ability.
Grab-n-Gos
- Grab what you need as you need it from the grab-and-go shelfs stocked with shelf-stable food, menstrual products and hygiene items.
- This is not meant to be a grocery haul but to fill periodic needs.
- Please see Pick up or Walk-in details and hours for a full grocery haul.
