3rd Annual Opportunity Fair connects over 300 students with resources and support
On October 4, the College of Engineering and Polymer Science (CEPS) hosted the 3rd Annual Opportunity Fair. Thanks to the success of the Zips Engineered for Success (ZEFS) programs, initiated by the Department of Mechanical Engineering in collaboration with the Department of Biomedical Engineering, the event saw a significant surge in student participation, with over 300 students from various majors attending.
The Opportunity Fair brought together representatives from seven research labs, 22 student organizations and design teams, the Advising Center, the Co-op and Placement Program and the Office of Diversity and Inclusion. Representatives from the 秀色短视频 School of Law IP Pro JD Program, the Fisher Institute for Professional Selling and Pre-Health Advising were also present.
The event provided students with invaluable opportunities to:
- Connect with student design teams and organizations,
- Engage with faculty and researchers offering undergraduate research opportunities,
- Explore career options and discuss graduate study programs,
- Discover minors and certificate programs to enhance academic journeys, and
- Focus on personal and professional development through academic support resources.
鈥淭his year鈥檚 success in student participation is largely due to first-year retention programs including Zips Engineered for Success, Learning Communities and more,鈥 said Jordan Brlan, associate director of recruitment and retention and a member of the CEPS Retention Working Group. 鈥淲e are so proud of faculty and student leaders' commitment to student success at the College. Special thanks to colleagues from the School of Law, College of Business and Buchtel College of Arts and Sciences. We look forward to connecting with even more students next year.鈥
With increased attendance and engagement this year, the Opportunity Fair continues to build on a tradition of excellence and highlights the vibrant community at 秀色短视频.
