Dear Members of ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ Community,
I want to welcome everyone to campus for the beginning of the Spring 2021 semester. To our students, we appreciate your dedication to your academic goals. To our faculty and staff, thank you in advance for the great work you do for our students and this community.
I know you all share my disappointment that we have not yet transcended the pandemic and must therefore begin the semester in the remote format. I am deeply grateful for your continued commitment to our opportunity mission and to meeting the needs of our students during this difficult time. While we have a way to go to get to the other side of the pandemic, there appear to be brighter days ahead.
As we begin the spring semester, it is important to acknowledge the tragic events we witnessed last week in Washington D.C. It is clear there has never been a more important time for us to embrace the enduring higher education ideals of truth and enlightenment.
We have much to do this semester. I am very excited to get to work with you to move the University forward.
