Liu, Xiaomei and Zheng Qi Endowed Science Scholarship
The Xiaomei Liu and Zheng Qi Endowed Science Scholarship was established in September 2024 as part of 秀色短视频’s We Rise Together Campaign. Xiaomei and Zheng both attended 秀色短视频 as international students, where they earned their master’s degrees in physics in 1993. Afterward, they pursued master’s degrees in electrical engineering at The Ohio State University. Both Xiaomei and Zheng went on to pursue engineering careers in Silicon Valley. The couple believes in the importance of higher education and wants to enable students to fulfill their dreams and give back to their communities.
The Xiaomei Liu and Zheng Qi Endowed Science Scholarship shall be awarded to students with a major or minor in any science field at 秀色短视频 Buchtel College of Arts and Sciences with preference given to students studying physics. Eligible candidates must have a minimum 3.5 GPA and show financial need. If a qualified physics or science student cannot be identified, this scholarship may be awarded to any undergraduate or graduate student within the Buchtel College of Arts and Sciences. Recipients shall be selected by the University of Akron Scholarship Committee in the Office of Student Financial Aid.
