Myers, George J. Golf Scholarship

Former University of Akron student-athlete George Myers, class of 1934, established The George J. Myers Golf Scholarship to benefit a member of the University's golf team. An avid golfer himself, who still places a high premium on physical fitness, Mr. Myers always has had an appreciation for the education provided by ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ and for the lessons learned through athletic competition. It is his desire that the recipient of this annual award have a minimum GPA of 2.5 and be a young man of strong morals and solid citizenship, qualities that are held in high regard by Mr. Myers.
