Dobos, Timothy S. Baseball Scholarship

The Timothy S. Dobos Baseball Scholarship was established in 2019 by Timothy S. Dobos. Tim, a four-year letter winner at ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ, was the starting pitcher for the Zips Baseball team from 1985-1988. He graduated from the University in 1990 with a bachelor's degree in accounting. Tim was inducted into ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ's Varsity "A" Sports Hall of Fame in 2017.

As on-field performance and strong academics in the classroom were critically important during his time as a student-athlete, Tim intends for his scholarship to support a Zips Baseball pitcher excelling in the classroom. Like other Zips Baseball alumni, Tim truly appreciates what the program helped him accomplish, both on the field and in life, and desires to give back through The Timothy S. Dobos Baseball Scholarship.

The Timothy S. Dobos Baseball Scholarship will be awarded to a pitcher on ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ Baseball team who meets and maintains the requirements listed below. The recipient may be an incoming freshman or an active team member. Additionally, the recipient must represent ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ Baseball in a positive manner both on campus and in the community. A "position player" may be considered for the scholarship if a pitcher doesn't meet the requirements. If neither exists, the scholarship will be awarded to the pitcher closest to meeting the requirements. Recipient selection will be made by the Zips Baseball coaching staff in conjunction with the Zips Athletics Department. A report will be provided annually to the donor on the selected recipient.
