Rupert, Timothy J. Endowed Scholarship Fund in Accounting
The Dr. Timothy J. Rupert Endowed Scholarship in Accounting was established in 2009 and revised in 2018. Dr. Rupert is a native of Massillon, Ohio and attended ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ where he earned both his undergraduate and master’s degrees. He received his doctorate from Penn State University. He has been a member of the faculty at Northeastern University (Boston, MA) in the College of Business Administration since 1992. He is widely published in the area of the thought processes of taxpayers and tax practitioners. His research is focused on using behavioral methodologies to examine the impact of changes in the structure of the tax system on decision making and fairness perceptions. He has received the Beta Gamma Sigma Teacher of the Year award several times while at Northeastern and was named the Outstanding Educator by the Massachusetts Society of CPAs.
During his years at ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ, Dr. Rupert was active as an Honors Student and in the Residence Life and Housing Program. These formative experiences provided by these campus organizations prompted Dr. Rupert to establish The Timothy J. Rupert Endowed Scholarship Fund in Accounting and the Timothy J. Rupert Residence Life Scholarship.
