Korzeniewski, Adolph Endowed Scholarship Fund

The Adolph Korzeniewski Endowed Scholarship Fund was established in 2017 through The Testamentary Trust of the late Adolph Korzeniewski.  A native of Akron and graduate of Garfield High School, Mr. Korzeniewski recognized the important contribution of ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ toward the Akron community and its children.  He established a perpetual scholarship fund to benefit qualified graduates of Garfield High School wishing to attend ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ to complete a bachelor’s degree.

The Adolph Korzeniewski Endowed Scholarship Fund shall provide annual scholarships to one or more qualified graduates of Kenmore-Garfield High School (formerly known as Garfield High School) pursuing a bachelor’s degree at ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ.  Should Kenmore-Garfield High School no longer exist, scholarships will be directed to students from any of the high schools in the Akron Public Schools.

Selection of the scholarship recipient(s) will be determined by ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ’s Office of Student Financial Aid in consultation with Kenmore-Garfield High School guidance counselors and/or principal as needed.  Scholarships are applied directly to a student’s account for use for tuition and fees.

Applicants also must:

  • demonstrate financial need as determined by the Office of Student Financial Aid
  • enter the University and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better
  • be enrolled as a full-time student
  • be an exemplary role model for other students

Scholarships are renewable if the student recipient maintains all requirements and is in good standing with ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ.
