Macior, Alice and Walter Graduate Scholarship in Botany and Plant Sciences
The Alice and Walter Macior Graduate Scholarship in Botany and Plant Sciences was established in 2002 in honor and loving memory of the parents of Dr. Lazarus Walter Macior. Scholarships are made available to students accepted in a graduate program who are specializing in botany or plant sciences. Qualifying students are to submit their request to the chair of the Department of Biology.
The Alice and Walter Macior Graduate Scholarship in Botany and Plant Sciences was established with an initial gift from Dr. Lazarus Walter Macior. The scholarship is to be managed according to the established guidelines. Contributions from alumni, friends and relatives will be accepted. The scholarship will be coordinated by the office of Student Financial Aid with students selected by the Department of Biology Scholarship Committee. The Alice and Walter Macior Graduate Scholarship in Botany and Plant Sciences should be awarded each year at the same level as The Lazarus Walter Macior Graduate Scholarship in Botany and Plant Sciences.
