Originally established in 1959 as the Ferdinand A. and Lorry Brubaker Scholarship, The Hugh Michael O’Neil Scholarship now honors Hugh Michael O’Neil, who lost his life in a heroic attempt to save the lives of others in July 1964. The income is used to render financial assistance to students selected by the University Scholarship Committee.
