Taliaferro, Cathryn Carroll Phi Sigma Alpha Scholarship
The Cathryn Carroll Taliaferro Phi Sigma Alpha Scholarship, established in 1986 on an endowed basis, honors Department of English professor Cathryn Carroll Taliaferro, who for more than 20 years was a faculty adviser to Phi Sigma Alpha, the Buchtel College of Arts and Sciences honorary society. The scholarship is awarded annually to the outstanding junior inductee into the society. Funds to establish the scholarship were contributed by friends, family, colleagues, and Phi Sigma Alpha members. Selection is made by the Phi Sigma Alpha scholarship selection committee.
