Council of Negro Women's Endowment Fund for Educational Awards

In keeping with the council's theme, "Know thyself, learn more, and climb higher," this endowed Council of Negro Women's Endowment Fund for Educational Awards was established in 1981 by the Council of Negro Women of Akron. The purpose of the fund is to provide earnings annually for the assistance of eligible African-American students from Summit County attending ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ. Selection of recipients is made by The Council of Negro Women's Scholarship Committee in concert with the Office of Student Financial Aid at ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ. The Council of Negro Women of Akron established this fund in memory of its founders.
