Knight '66, D. Duane Fund for Military Veteran Students

At the age of 19, D. Duane Knight was drafted into the U.S. Army during the Korean War, and he served from 1952 to 1954. After completing basic training at Fort Jackson, S.C., and Airborne School at Fort Benning, Ga., Private First Class Knight served as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, N.C. After his military service, he returned to his hometown, Massillon, Ohio, to work and begin a family. Due to his commitment to furthering his education, he also attended night school at ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ, graduating with a B.S. in industrial management in 1966.

The D. Duane Knight '66 Fund for Military Veteran Students honors D. Duane Knight's service to his country and his commitment to education and community service by seeking to support today's veterans as they pursue their college degrees at ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ.

The D. Duane Knight '66 Fund for Military Veteran Students will be funded through the gifts of Timothy A. and Pamela J. Knight. The funds shall be held by ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ Foundation. In consultation with veteran students and advisers, the fund will be distributed at the discretion of the associate director of military services transfer and adult services enrollment for needs associated with the Musson Veteran’s Lounge. These include, but are not limited to, member scholarships in The American Legion Post 808.
